The Greater Perryville Chamber of Commerce Announces Results of Annual Election

Perryville, MD – December 16, 2009 – At their December luncheon on Tuesday the GPVCC held its annual election for executive board members.  While there were no candidates running opposed, the election does mark significant changes/additions to the organizations leadership structure. 

While the President (Matt Roath) and Secretary (Debbie Murphy) positions will not be changing hands the addition of new Vice President, Rob Jugler of RNJ, LLC and new Treasurer, John Cole of Coledata, Inc.  promises to solidify the organizations leadership which has been in flux over the past 6-8 months.

Supporting the executive board will be three new members of the groups Board of Directors.  Morgan Lehr of Cecil County Public Library, Stacy Ziegler of Duffield Associates and Wilma Denton (former GPVCC president) of Denton Spring Water will each serve three year terms on the GPVCC’s board. 

“This is an extremely exciting time for our organization.” says Roath.  “With the substantial influx of interest in the expedited development of Perryville and its surroundings, the GPVCC is positioned to be the strongest voice for the local business community.  Each of our executives and board members share the vision and commitment to build our organizations influence within the county to make sure Perryville and the rest of Western Cecil County is adequately represented.”

The Greater Perryville Chamber of Commerce has seen a 25% spike in membership since June with an additional 75% growth predicted by 2011.
