Westbound lanes of the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge will be closed for five, nine-hour stretches between Thursday, March 4th and Tuesday, March 9th, according to Maryland Transportation Authority officials.
Weather permitting, the westbound lanes of the bridge, which carries traffic on Route 40 between Perryville and Havre de Grace, will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday through next Tuesday, excluding Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Westbound traffic will be detoured toward southbound Interstate 95 at Route 222. No toll will be charged. Traffic may rejoin Route 40 from Route 155 on the other side of the Tydings Memorial Bridge.
