The Greater Perryville Chamber of Commerce, through The Cecil County Community College Foundation, is currently offering a scholarship to graduates of Perryville High School who wish to attend the Cecil County Community College. This is an annual award, provided in June of every year, and will be no less than $500, the funds being provided by the Greater Perryville Chamber of Commerce. However, before you rush out and spend your newfound wealth on the latest X-Box, there are some criteria you have to meet: Residency: Cecil County Resident, then other Maryland resident, the out-of-state resident. Academic Program(s): Enrolled in a classified program of study at the Cecil County Community College. GPA: Must have and maintain a 2.0 out of a 4.0 GPA Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need by completing an application for financial aid. Other: First consideration will go to a Perryville High student that attends the Cecil County Community College on the "Senior Waiver" program, then a graduating senior, and then, if the scholarship has not been awarded, a past graduate of Perryville High School. Application: Only students that have applied to Cecil Community College and have been issued an ID number will be eligible to receive any CCC Foundation Scholarship funds. Furthermore, in order to be eligible, students must complete the on_line scholarship application no later than 1st May of any year. The CCC Foundation will notify award winners by 30th June in any year, a recipients will receive their first installment (where applicable) in the Spring. Financial aid funds and CCC Foundation scholarships will first be applied to tuition/fees owed to CCC, and any residual may be used by recipients for books or supplies at the college bookstore.
